Hey chickis!
It’s been so long, I know >.< SUE ME.
But honestly… I miss blogging.
I’ll be honest: life isn’t really going as planned right now, and recently I've learnt a few things about myself.
Sometimes we can genuinely think we're being a good friend, daughter or person, but the people around us may not always experience us that way. I've been learning that being considerate means thinking about other people's feelings too, not just focusing on what I want or getting upset when things don't go my way.
I'm not the only person alive, and the world doesn't revolve around me.
I think that's something we can all learn at different points in our lives. It's easy to get caught up in our own feelings because, well... we're the ones living our lives. But everyone around us is living theirs too.
I turned 18 a week ago, and honestly, it opened my eyes to a lot of things. Having someone close to me be honest with me also made me reflect on myself and the ways I could be a better person. It wasn't necessarily easy to hear, but I'm grateful that I'm learning from it.
I've also been thinking a lot about this blog and what I want to give to the internet.
I promised myself I'd post consistently on TikTok... which I haven't really done 😭 and I said I'd post more blogs, which I also haven't done. I guess I've been giving myself time to think about life and figure out what I actually want to put out into the world.
I want this little corner of the internet to be a place where people can relate to the experiences of a teenage girl who's still figuring things out. I want people to be able to learn from my experiences too, especially because I've noticed that a lot of you are around 12–16.
I've lost friendships that I genuinely thought would last forever. Of course it hurts, but it's also made me reflect and learn things that I can take into future relationships. Hopefully, some things can even be fixed one day.
I think growing up is partly about accepting that you won't always get everything right. Sometimes you'll hurt people without meaning to. Sometimes you'll realise you could have handled something differently. What matters is being willing to listen, reflect and grow.
I want to be more considerate towards my friends, my family and you guys who take the time to read what I create. I want to be more grateful, happier, kinder and hopefully be a blessing to the people around me.
I know this isn't my usual blog style, but I just wanted to share something I've been learning recently.
Life is what you make it, and I want to make mine a little kinder.
Be kind, be considerate, and share love. ♡
I love and appreciate you all so much.
